Let's be clear about one thing, the reason why the healthcare system is they way it is now, is because of government. Democrats want to fix the health care system with...get ready for it...more government.

Medicare, Medicaid and VA hospitals are all government creations. We already have a quasi-national healthcare system!

QUIZ TIME:

Question: What costs more, paying for a doctor, or buying a new DVD.

Answer: Buying a DVD

People don't understand that the co-pay for doctors appointment is typically just $20, a new DVD runs about $24 (Blu-Ray is the BEST).

Forcing people to be on a government-run health care system would make everyone pay for everyone else's problems.

What is the definition of "insurance?"

"The act, system, or business of insuring property, life, one's person, etc., against loss or harm arising in specified contingencies, as fire, accident, death, disablement, or the like, in consideration of a payment proportionate to the risk involved."

The point of insurance is to protect against a disaster, not provide for daily use.

Home-owners insurance is to protect against your home catching fire and burning to the ground. Car insurance is to protect you in case you get in a wreck.

Forcing everyone to buy government run healthcare is like making people with car insurance pay for gas, oil and tires of everyone who drives. It just doesn't make sense.

The system would be overloaded with people for simple ailments; headaches, cough, sneezes. Whatever, get over it.

Because of the overload, some Healthcare Czar will start to make decisions of who to actually allow access to medical providers. I do not want a government official in the way of my healthcare.

I was RipStik-ing (if you don't know what a RipStik is, you should probably check one out) over Spring Break, and I had a major wipe out in which I flew into a mulch-laden rose garden. I had thorns, splinters, dirt, rocks and gravel in me.

I would most likely be denied a claim to see a doctor because it wasn't severe enough. In their defense it, it wasn't. But, no one was on campus and I didn't have anyone to pull out the thorns and help disinfect my wounds, so I went to the doctor. For about $20, I was able to pay for three weeks of care, WITHOUT INSURANCE.

Long story short, cheap and easy access to healthcare is available. That's the joy of a free market system. I can shop around.

Prior to 1965, the year Medicare and Medicaid became a government hand-me-out; healthcare costs never exceeded six percent of U.S. GDP. After Democrat LBJ enforced the two atrocious plans, medical costs began to rise.

Today, healthcare is at 20 percent of GDP.

The reason?

We don't shop around; therefore, healthcare providers charge whatever they want.

Just because we're paying less out-of-pocket, doesn't mean prices are getting any cheaper. Currently, an individual pays approximately three percent of a total hospital bill. Third parties (insurance, employer or the government) pay the other 97 percent.

According to the National Center for Policy Analysis, only 35 percent of Medicare or Medicaid spending leads to actual care. The other 65 percent allows for prices to keep going up.

Now, let's examine plastic surgery.

For the most part, plastic surgery is an out-of-pocket expense which health insurance does not cover. Between 1990 and 2005, cosmetic surgery prices have gone up about 15 percent compared to Consumer Price Index.

Healthcare prices have gone up more than 80 percent in comparison to the CPI.

Doctors can perform plastic surgery for much less because they don't have to pay for all the red-tape that comes with insurance companies, hospitals and unnecessary staff.

We can use Medicare (which currently has about 41 million people 65 years old, or older) and Medicaid (which serves more than 50 million poor people) to show us just how a government-run healthcare program will force everyone on to their plans.

With the government run program, costs will sky-rocket, leading to fewer and fewer private-sector insurance providers. This is proven by the numerous insurance companies which folded during the first five years of Medicare and Medicaid’s existence.

With fewer and fewer private-sector providers, coupled with the inevitable rise in healthcare costs, employer-based healthcare will have no option to go for the cheapest insurance company, which would be the government run program.

Surprise!

The government doesn’t have to play by the same rules as a private sector company does. Why does the government need to worry about posting a profit to pay its employees, utilities or taxes when we would foot that bill? (Minus the taxes, the government can’t pay its self back…oh wait, yes it can/did…)

Once the government has control of your healthcare, they will start to deny benefits to help cut costs due to the high costs of healthcare and the flooding of the system.

Routine operations now become a matter of bureaucratic decision making of whether or not you're "worth the cost" to the government.

This healthcare being assembled in congress today CAN NOT be passed. It will lead to higher costs, less jobs (currently 14.6 million people are employed by the health care industry), and the government in control of your life.

As this healthcare reform goes, so goes the Democrats. And neither are doing to well.

Well folks, consider it a small victory.

Due to overwhelming support of millions of Americans flooding the White House servers, the WH's "flag" program has be dropped from their website.

The program was created to become a way for liberals to turn in, list and record all those opposed to Obama's crazy plans.

After many news organizations, bloggers, patriots and normal citizens sent numerous emails and flagged themselves in order to show Obama that his scare tactics and monitoring programs would not be tolerated.

So, while all these town halls meetings go on, the Right is consistently bombarded with labels of "Anti-American," "Racists," "Hired Hands of the Insurance Companies..." the list goes on and on...

But yet, the media has yet to find any facts, truth or credibility to Obama's false accusations.

Take a look at this clip. See there is at least one doctor who wants this awful healthcare system to pass right?

Wrong.

Meet Roxana Mayer, she introduced herself in the previous clip as a General Practitioner in Texas; however, the Texas Medical Board has no such name registered as a licensed medical provider.

As soon as the media found out about this, they were quick to silently change this "mistake". Now, if I were to go to my local town hall meeting and say I, as a Republican, am a Doctor and I oppose Obama's plan (like a vast majority of doctors), the media would be ALLLLLL over me.

What about Roxana?

Silence.

Turns out, how strange, that Roxana was also a Obama Delegate...

Once again, I apologize for the lack of posts on the website. I have been out of town and without a computer (shocking in today's world) for the last two weeks.

Sweden, one of the Obama Administration's example of a health care system, is trying to stop it's failed programs.

Anders Borg has a message for those who look to government to take over health care, rescue the financial system and run troubled corporations: I have seen the future-and it doesn't work.

As the finance minister of Sweden, Borg is the chief financial officer of a country long known as a walking billboard for a social welfare state. In Borg's view, the 1970s and 1980s were lost decades for Sweden. Left-leaning politicians pushed government spending, excluding investment outlays, from 22% of gross domestic products in 1970 to 30% in 1980. Real growth fell from an average of 4.4% annually in the 1960s to 2.4% in the 1970s and remained low for the next two decades.

What is Borg doing for "the future?"

Cut Taxes, Cap Spending and and Privatize Health Care, get rid of wealth taxes and cut corporate taxes.

The Swedes ventured down that Utopian road...it was nothing but a dead end. They are now trying to back up and make the right turn to help their economy, health care and people.

Just I stated on Wednesday after Obama's failed attempt to soothe over the American people about his rushed and tax-heavy health care plan, Obama's approval rating has fallen below 50 percent.

According to a Rasmussen Report for July 24th, Obama's overall approval ratings dropped to 49 percent, while is total disapproval ratings rose to 51 percent.

For those of you who believe that Rasmussen Reports is a conservative-biased group, lets not forget that Rasmussen was the most accurate polling agency to predict both the 2004 and 2008 presidential elections.

This should be some troubling news for Obama and the Democrats. As time moves on, it is becoming harder and harder to blame things on the past administration. The American public is finally starting to realize that it was the Democratic majority in 2006 that started leading us down this road.

I am predicting this now, the 2010 mid-term elections will make congress more balanced, as well as, the 2012 presidential election will go in the way of the Republicans.

The Dangers of Raisng Minimum Wage

Tomorrow, the minimum wage will rise from $6.55 an hour, to $7.25 an hour.

Let's rethink this.

If we want the three big car companies to come out of bankruptcy, why don't we just tell them to raise their prices? With prices raised, they would make a higher profit margin off of each sale, allowing them to hire more people.

But this is not the case.

Increased prices cut profit margins which, obviously, reduce jobs.

In a time where our economy is sinking faster than a lead ball in a pool, raising minimum wage is the last thing we want to do.

Sure, those employees left will see an 11 percent increase; however, there will be a steep drop off in employment.

Economists predict that more than 400,000 jobs will be lost among teenagers (the majority of minimum wage employees) alone. I mean, if you can pay higher wages, without losing reducing employment, why would the minimum wage only be $7.25 an hour? Why not $15 an hour, or even $100 an hour?

The truth is, business can not print money like the government can. In order to pay for this minimum wage increase, is to cut jobs, cut benefits or raise prices (which would reduce income).

The Economic Policy Institute (a liberal creation) stated that an increase in the minimum wage "would not only benefit low income working families, but it would also provide a boost to consumer spending and the broader economy."

Yea, right.

So, as Michigan enjoys the nation's highest unemployment rate at 15 percent, Michigan Democrats are also proposing to increase the state minimum wage from $7.40 an hour to $10 an hour.

If that passes, Michigan will see unemployment rates run into the 25 to 30 percent range.

Obama: What was That?

I just wasted an hour of my life for nothing.

Obama went off into rhetoric mode tonight, and just repeated the same ten lines that he has over the last week or so.

What in the world was this "press conference" for? To calm the nerves of a majority of Americans who are weary of this MASSIVE program?

Epic Fail.

However, irony filled the White House.

Obama said: "So let me be clear: This isn't about me. I have great health insurance, and so does every member of Congress."

Yes, Mr. Obama, you do have great health care, paid for none other than...us tax payers. Secondly, I find it ironic that you don't want us (Americans) in on your deal, and you don't want in on what you're creating for us.

This fiasco tonight will hurt his cause. It will show in the polls. This was a poor attempt to soothe over an American public who is not wanting any part of a social experiment/socialization network.

Government Waste

After the government spent $18 million on a redesign and upgrade of their recovery.gov website, they quickly regretted their move.

In a move to make the stimulus money more transparent (like they promised in January), it didn't take long for people to realize, their money is going to waste.

Take this for example...

The United States department of Agriculture spent nearly $1.2 million on two (yes, two) pounds of frozen, sliced ham.

Don't believe me?

Well, this must have angered someone up at the high-levels because they were quick to remove the details section from easy view. In fact, they moved the details of what EXACTLY the money is being spent on deep into the website, through many different links.

Way to go Government.

Oh, yea, at military base in San Antonio, Texas is using more than $3 million to repair a door. Must be the world's largest door!

Health Care: The Broken Record

We are headed for a financial Armageddon.

Currently, Obama and the Democrats are spending close to $11 billion a day. At this rate, the United States will be in a $4 trillion budget deficit...for THIS FISCAL YEAR ALONE.

Obama can say that GW had accumulated a large deficit as well, which I don't condone, but at least he did so over eight years...not six months.

Usually by now, the White House issues a mid-summer budget update. Obama has now announced that this document will not be issued until after August 7. That is the day Congress leaves town for recess.

Obama knows that if he were to try and pass HR 3200 (Health Care Reform Bill) with the news of how horrible the economy has gotten, he would fail miserably. Well, I guess he already is, considering less than half of the nation approve of his reform bill.

Now, Ted Kennedy has joined the fight for health care. His solution? Rationing health care. He proposed that people are readmitted for non-important medical issues. Kennedy wants to leave the government to determine what the difference between a non-important medical issue, and an important medical issue. Please Ted, define that for us.

According to Obama, Americans are being driven to bankruptcy because of the cost of health care.

Irony at its finest.

The Obama plan would drive our entire country into bankruptcy, even more so than we are now.

But, lets take a look at this claim that health care is bankrupting Americans.

I found full HMO health care plans for an individual to be about $79 a month; while just $249 a month for an entire family. Seems pretty reasonable to me.

Initial estimates by the CBO shows that the cost of this health care plan is hard to nail down. For next year alone, the CBO offers, on the conservative side, a $239 billion price tag. Now, call me crazy but things don't get cheaper as time goes on.

So, even on the conservative side of pricing: $239 billion (x) 10 years = $2.39 trillion.

$2.39 trillion.

I have no idea where congress got their $1.042 trillion over 10 years.

If Congress doesn't even want to be around for the release of the effects of their spend, spend, spend solutions, we don't need to rush through this.

I admit a problem in the health care system...but, let's take a bi-partisan stance and fix it together.

The Case for 2012

The news keeps going down hill for the Democrats.

A recent poll conducted by Rasmussen Report, Obama's overall approval rating is hovering just a bit above the 50 percent mark (51 %).

In comparison, it took GW four years to fall that low.

This is a testament to the American people who are willing to show their disapproval for those wretched policies in Washington.

Secondly, in a separate survey conducted by Rasmussen, the following pairs were offered up for the 2012 election:

Obama: 45 percent

Romney: 45 percent

Other: 7 percent

Not Sure: 3 percent

Obama: 48 percent

Palin: 42 percent

Other: 7 percent

Not Sure: 3 percent

Not good news for the Obama Administration.

I know that these are relatively early polls, but it's a glimmer of hope that the liberal media will not report these polls. Mark my words.

The fact that the "despised" Sarah Palin is only separated by six percentage points (even with her being a "slutty flight attendant") must be disheartening for the Dems.

I wonder how the media will spin these results to view Obama-all-mighty as loved by the entire country.

Spend, Spend, Spend!

Dave Ramsey is a man of financial talent and ideology.

He turned a million dollars in debt into more than a million dollar debt-free life.

According to Dave, "debt caused us over the course of two and a half years of fighting it to lose everything."

Want to see where America is going?

The current administration is trying everything they can to stop our growing debt...including SPENDING.

Our beloved Vice President, Joe Biden, said this:

"We're going to go bankrupt as a country...we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt...that's what I'm telling you."

Way to go Joe.

The Obama Administration wants America to collapse. That is the only way they know they can assert their leftist ideology and social-welfare state.

Friends, we need to realize that the Obama Administration's attempts to derail the American dream with their unprecedented spending will not stand.

We need to speak loud and clear in 2010 for one of the most important mid-term elections in many years.

If we want to control and stop this reckless spending, we need to get people into Congress who are aware of what's best for America.

Currently, there seems to be a separation between Congress and citizens.

Congress is supposed to comprised "of the people, for the people."

Not "for the people, by the elitists."

Public More Opposed to Sotomayor than Alito

More Americans are becoming clear that Sonia Sotomayor's comments were more than just words, they are insight to her ruling.

As of today, 41 percent of Americans are opposed to Sotomayor's confirmation; compared to just 26 percent who were opposed to Justice Sam Alito's confirmation at the same point in time.

Along with those 41 percent of Americans who are opposed, 22 percent are not sure about whether or not she should become a Supreme Court Justice. Those 22 percent are just people who voted for Obama and are giving his pick the benefit of the doubt.

So essentially, if we take just half of those undecided, 52 percent of Americans are opposed to Sotomayor's discriminating remarks.

But, because the Democrats in congress, and some "Republicans," are so eager to bow to Obama's way, Sotomayor will be confirmed.

Individual Health Care Illegal

Don't say I didn't tell you so.

In the proposal released by Democratic leaders on Tuesday, a tight fist could soon be swinging down on those individuals who use their own Health Care provider.

The bill says "the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day [of the year this legislation becomes into law]"

Basically, if you already have a private provider, you can keep your current coverage; however, no new customers will be accepted after the start of the legislation.

According to the Lewin Group, approximately 120 million people could lose their work's group coverage due to companies dumping plans for the 30 to 40 percent cheaper government run plans.

In the Dems 1,068 page legislation, there are calls to get rid of the private sector health care, dry-up health savings accounts and take control of the entire health industry.

This can not, and will not be allowed to happen.

As I previously stated in an earlier blog, if the government gets control of the markets, quality of care, wait time and amount of available providers will all get worse.

Sotomayor Day III

She's slipping, and she knows it.

More American's are now opposed to Sonia Sotomayor's confirmation than are opposed to it, according to a new Rasmussen Report released today.

37 percent support her confirmation.

43 percent are opposed to her confirmation.

After the public is beginning to see what her views and judgements of her past have been, they are realizing how liberal and biased she is.

Her refuting of her "wise Latina" remarks is not only hurting in the polls, but she is lying.

It wasn't an issue until she is starting to essentially say that she didn't say it, or that she didn't mean it the way it sounded.

Yea, right.

Unfortunately, she'll be confirmed because the Dems are itching to do whatever they can for Obama, rather than do what is best for American and our Constitution.

Dont Look Now...

Pelosi and House Democrats unveiled a new plan for health care reform.

In their plan, penalties for employers who don't offer health care, and penalties for individuals who don't buy it.

The bill, which is more than 1000 pages, is said to simplify and "fulfill Obama's call for legislation that will extend coverage to millions who lack it, as well as begin to slow the rate of growth in health care generally.

In response to the bill, Obama said it "will begin the process of fixing what's broken about our health care system, reducing costs for all, building on what works and covering an estimated 97 percent of all Americans. And by emphasizing prevention and wellness, it will also help improve the quality of health care for every American."

As I wrote yesterday in "Healthcare...Where to Begin?", this plan WILL NOT make health care cheaper for us.

Democrats did not announce how much the entire proposal will cost. (Because they know that when they put a multi trillion dollar price tag on it, no one will want to pay for it.)

However, the Dems were more than willing to tell who's going to pay for it. They are going to raise taxes to 5.4 percent for those people making more than $1 million.

Thanks upper class, you're already paying 99 percent of our bill, so what's another .4 percent?

This tax increase is supposed to raise close to $500 billion over the next 10 years; while cuts to Medicare and Medicaid are expected to save just as much.

Here we go, while we're distracted by Sotomayor's hearings, we are going to be swindled by the Democrats to pass this MASSIVE bill.

Sotomayor Day II

As I sit here and watch this dog-and-pony-show that we call a "hearing," I wonder to myself, "What questions are we asking her."

This is a hearing to confirm a member of the Supreme Court. I can still see party lines being drawn in the chamber.

This should be a bipartisan job interview.

Senator Dianne Feinstein of California is attack past, and already appointed, nominations. We are currently dealing Sonia Sotomayor.

Stop treating this like an interview for a secretary. She will be appointed to life on the Supreme Court.

We should be asking tough questions which show how she ruled, why she ruled the way she did, how long does she take to rule, how does she prepare for cases...etc.

Stop bringing up old part lines, and start truly interviewing her for one of the most prestigious jobs in the land.

Patrick Leahy, who normally I don't agree with, said as they were getting ready to recess, a very wise comment.

Can't Sleep, Here's Why...

Republicans. Democrats.

As William Shakespeare once wrote..."What's in a name?"

Here's the deal, no matter what party we align ourselves to, we are all Americans first.

I'm worried with the path that our great country of ours is taking.

Congress is like a clown with too many bowling pins to juggle. Sooner or later, they're going to drop them all. Obama keeps throwing pins into Congress's ring, and they keep taking them. They're trying to plow through too many things at one time.

Currently, we have the confirmation hearings of Sotomayor, we have the Democrats unveiling an overhaul to our health care system and we have people on both sides of the aisle pushing their own agendas.

We, as Americans, can not stand for this.

Our economy is, and should be, our number one priority. How do we reverse the current trends of rising unemployment rates? How do we stop the Dollar from deprecating at a unprecedented rate?

Simple. Stop spending money we don't have and lower taxes.

Nearly 70 percent of Americans are employed by small businesses. Lower taxes on those businesses, then they can afford to higher more people.

Our second priority should be this media circus that is surrounding Sonia Sotomayor. She is a radical (more so than Ginsburg) who is exactly what our country is fighting against.

Her court decisions, which are obviously based on race, are overturned by the Supreme Court 60 percent of the time. MORE THAN HALF OF HER DECISIONS REVIEWED BY THE SUPREME COURT HAVE BEEN REVERSED.

Now, unfortunately, there's nothing that I can do to stop her from being confirmed, but, I think that we should know how Obama thinks.

Obama is a great magician. But magic is nothing more than a slight of hand. As the public is distracted by all of this, we are not focused on what is going on out of the media's reporting.

He is flooding the American people with so much information and policy changes, that it is damned near impossible to keep track of everything going on.

Did you know...

Obama is seriously talking about a second stimulus package? He said that the first package is "working as intended." If $1.1 trillion in debt (first time in history) and 9.5 percent unemployment was what was the planned outcome of the first stimulus bill, I don't want to know what the second stimulus goal is.

The world community is just laughing at the US Dollar. So much so, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is ready to start advocating a world currency. With the USD declining rapidly, our government will have no choice but to accept it.

How about house Democrats were scheduled to roll out their "amendments" to Obama's health care plan just as Obama was meeting with union leaders pushing his own plan.

...and that was just today...

You see, we're so distracted by what the media wants us to see, that we overlook what is happening behind closed doors.

Please, I don't care about politics, I care about my country...OUR country.

Pay attention, we need to speak loudly to those Republicans and Democrats who are not in-touch with the American people in 2010. We need to save our country from these people who think that they know what's best for our country, when all they're looking out for is themselves.

Democrats v. CIA part II

Apparently, the CIA needs to infrom Congress about every little detail, including thoughts.

Democrats, in a yet again failing PR campaign for public opinion, have come out guns firing at the Bush Administration's CIA's tatics.

The Wall Street Journal reported today that in 2001, the CIA was authorized to spend money to plan secret operations training "to capture or kill al Qaeda operatives", as well as "targeted assassinations of al Qaeda leaders."

It is unknown whether-or-not some training actually occurred.

Nancy Pelosi is bringing this up to try and cover her rear-end after he last attack of the CIA went poorly.

I have no doubt that this will too.

The CIA was under no obligation to inform congress of this proposal still in the planning stages.

Even if it weren't in the planning stages, the CIA still should not tell Congress. How can we expect to successfully run a covert operation when we have to inform seven senators, their staff, their aides, and even their interns?

We know Congress, and the Democrats, can't keep their mouths shut about anything.

Democrats are Leading...in One Poll...

A poll conducted by Gallup shows that more Democrats are single, separated, divorced, widowed and in "domestic partnerships," than Republicans.

In the poll conducted through June, 33 percent of Republicans are married, compared with 31 percent of Democrats.

But that is where the similarities stop.

20 percent of Republicans are single/have never been married.

40 percent of Democrats are single/have never been married.

17 percent of Republicans are separated.

37 percent of Democrats are separated.

22 percent of Republicans are divorced.

42 percent of Democrats are divorced.

26 percent of Republicans are widowed.

42 percent of Democrats are widowed.

12 percent of Republicans are living with a "domestic partner."

41 percent of Democrats are living with a "domestic partner."

To sum it up, Democrats are lonely people, lacking any real relationships with a loved one. Yes, my opinion. But the media has reported multiple times that the Republican divorce rate is rising ever higher; but take a look in the mirror. 20 percentage points separate the two.

You can skew results of polls by sampling just Republicans, but when compared to Democrats, there is a statistically significant difference.

Why such a high difference in Democrats divorced and widowed? A great mystery of the world...although, I have my own ideas why.

Internment Camps in the US

Let's just give the Democrats the freedom to do what they want, with whomever they would like, when ever they deem it necessary.

HR 645, introduced by Representative Alcee Hastings (a Florida Democrat who is one of the furthest left congressmen in the business), would allow congress to establish the following:

Sec. 2. Establishment of National Emergency Centers.

(a) In general- In accordance with the requirements of this Act, the Secretary of Homeland Security shall establish not fewer than 6 national emergency centers on military installations.

(b) Purpose of National Emergency Centers- The purpose of a national emergency center shall be to use existing infrastructure--

(1) to provide temporary housing, medical, and humanitarian assistance to individuals and families dislocated due to emergency or major disaster;

(2) to provide centralized locations for the purposes of training and ensuring the coordination of Federal, State and local first responders;

(3) to provide centralized locations to improve the coordination of preparedness, response and recovery efforts of government, private, and not-for-profit entities and faith-based organizations; and

(4) to meet other appropriate needs, as determined by the Secretary of Homeland Security.

Sounds like a great bill to help those in need from disasters, except Section 2(b)4..."to meet other appropriate needs, as determined by the Secretary of Homeland Security."

Rep. Alcee Hastings is an impeached judge from Florida, who liberal whack-job Pelosi tried to appoint Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. Even Democrats stood-up to this crazy nomination.

Hastings also introduced an amendment that allows Attorney General Eric Holder the power to "label groups that oppose government policy on guns, abortion, immigration, states' rights..."

Great, an overwhelming majority of Americans are domestic terrorists according to Hastings and Holder.

With that amendment, and HR 645, these FEMA camps can quickly be turned to meet "other appropriate needs," which could easily mean to house domestic terror suspects.

Now, I'm not advocating that Congress is passing a bill which would allow internment camps for political opponents; however, it's not out of the question.

This is a poorly worded bill with too many open doors that no lawyer can stop if passed. If internments start, it would be under the full jurisdiction of Congress to allow it under HR 645.

Let's be clear about a few things.

Sotomayor will more than likely be confirmed to the United States Supreme Court.

But that doesn't mean that we can't try to stop it...but more on that later.

Would you want to be apart of a group that...

supports giving driver's licenses to illegal aliens
supports giving amnesty to all illegal aliens
supports annexing from the United States
supports the "fairness doctrine" -- which limits what can/can not be said in the media
opposes a defensive fence along the borders of the United States
says that asking for photo identification to vote is "an absolute disgrace"
says "English is to Hispanics as the Klu Klux Klan is to blacks"

NO.

But sure enough, Sotomayor is. La Raza! is a radical Hispanic group which advocates the above, and much more.

Can we stop her?

Yes.

According to Senate Judiciary Committee Rule IV, "debate shall be terminated if the motion to bring the matter to a vote without further debate passes with ten votes in the affirmative, one of which must be cast by the minority."

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, or misunderstanding it, but...if no Republican members vote to stop the hearings, then, they can't vote.

If the seven Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee, for the lack of a better word, "man-up," and not vote for Sotomayor, she can't be confirmed. It must take all of them in order for this to work.

Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, John Cornyn of Texas, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Chuck Grassely of Iowa, Orrin Hatch of Utah, Jon Kyl of Arizona and Jeff Sessions of Alabama are the Republican Senators in which we entrust Sotomayor's confirmation to.

Please, for the sake of this nation, do not allow Sotoymayor to be confirmed.

John Holdren, Obama's assistant for Science and Technology (Science Czar).

Obama may have gone over the top with Holdren. Holdren is a extremest who believes that the government should have the power to mandate "sterilization" of it's citizens in order to control population rates.

And that's just one of his MANY radical ideologies published in his 1977 book, "Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment".

Obama to Negotiate with Terrorists

Just as everyone suspected, Pakistan has connections to Taliban lead Mullah Mohammed Omar.

No surprise there.

Pakistan is one of the largest anti-American countries in the world; they approve of Osama bin Laden more than the United States.

Pakistan's military is offering the U.S. a deal to sit down to talk with Omar in coming weeks, if curve our opinion on Pakistan's relationship with India.

All of this comes just as the American people believed that we were finally taking a stance on Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

If we want to deal with the Taliban, fine. But we must only accept total surrender. If not, what does that show?

The Taliban allowed Osama bin Laden and his Al Qaeda regime to run their base of operations out of Afghanistan to attack the United States for many years.

Accepting a peace treaty in which we agree to share power, or offer amnesty to leaders is unacceptable.

What will that prove?

"If you attack the United States, we'll only go to war with you for 9 years, but then we'll leave you alone."

CNN's Michael Ware said "American can not win the war in Afghanistan. Certainly can't win it with bombs and bullets."

Wow. We can't win.

The United States has the world's greatest military. We could win by dropping one weapon on the area; but that would be disastrous. We are playing by UN rules and while Al Qaeda is playing by their own. There are no rules to war, no matter what the UN says. As of now, we are winning this war, and we WILL win it.

The frequency of Al Qaeda attacks have been decreasing since our 2001 invasion and liberation of Afghanistan, and even more so since the liberation of Iraq. (interesting connection there...)

We either disarm and disassemble the Taliban and get rid of Al Qaeda, or essentially give-up.

What a powerful message if we take the second option.

ABC is at it again.

They are creating their own polls with the mightily liberal Washington Post to get the results they want. Who knows, they might not even be conducting polling!

Rick Klein of ABC News wrote:

"The part [the Republican Party] has no real power in Washington and few obvious national spokespeople. An array of potential presidential candidates have created their own political messes in recent weeks.

Democrats this week took hold of their 60th Senate seat -- removing at least, at least in theory, the last procedural check Republicans had to guard against a Democratic dominance.

All this while fewer Americans consider themselves Republicans than at any time in a generation -- and while President Obama continues to enjoy sky-high popularity ratings. Only 22 percent of respondents considered themselves Republicans in last month's ABC News/Washington Post poll; the figure hadn't been that low since 1982."

Really now?

If you have been paying any attention to recent REAL polls by Gallup and Rasmussen show that trust with the Democrats is falling while belief in the Republican Party is on the rise.

Not only that, but Democratically controlled congress and Obama's approval ratings have been dropping for quite some time now. I don't see where he got "sky-high popularity ratings" for Obama. I have not seen any real poll that shows that.

I can create a poll that shows Obama should be considered for sainthood; but I don't want to lie. (Or anger the Pope)

In a Gallup Poll released on July 10th, political party affiliation for the Democrats has dropped three percent in the last month, from 52 percent to 49 percent, while Republican affiliation has increased one percent, from 39 percent to 40 percent.

Yes, party affiliation is still in the democrat's favor, but to put it in perspective, the Dems had it in 2000 and 2004 with similar numbers -- George W. Bush won both of those presidential elections.

And in reference to Klein's remarks of "few obvious national spokespeople," let's take a look here.

Michael Steele, Mike Huckabee, Mitch McConnel, John Boehner, Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, Dick Cheney...

There's a few.

I guess he finally realizes that the grocery money he gave Blago was used in appropriately. And he knows that any actual "re-election" would result in the discovery of his wrong doing.

As state's unemployment rates continue to climb, let's take alook at how states fair by their leadership. States in red are states with GOP leadership, and states in blue are states in which Democrats have control. California, is blue because The Govenator is a Democrat...he just won't admit it.

Interesting to see so many blue states up at the top.

When taking averages...

The average unemployment rate in red states is 7.87 percent.

The average unemployment rate in blue states is 8.06 percent.

Now, I'm all about equal opportunities for everyone; however, I'm against reverse discrimination as well.

Now, I have no evidence to back this claim up, but I just find it interesting that in this time of high unemployment that there is more than a two percentage point difference between the unemployment rates of men and women.

Could be that women are better workers, or, it could be employers are afraid of lawsuits.

Republicans Take Lead in Key Issues

According to a new Rasmussen Report, Republicans are trusted on 8 out of 10 major electoral issues. Including the Economy.

The Republicans lead in issues involving: the Economy, Iraq, National Security, Abortion, Social Security, Taxes, Immigration and Government Ethics.

The Dems lead (by only small margins) in: Healthcare and Education.

Furthermore, 39 percent of people fear that their taxes will go up under Obama.

Goes to show why people are a beginning to realize that their votes for the Democrats in November were a mistake.

In a separate survey by Rasmussen shows that 41 percent of people polled would vote for the Republican candidate in their Congressional districts while 38 percent said they would vote for the Democrat.

Obama: Forevermore?

Obama, Honduran President Manuel Zelaya and Venezuelan "president" Hugo Chavez.

What do they all have in common?

Zelaya wants to amend his country's Constitution in order to serve more terms.

Chavez is "president" for life.

Obama may very well have the ability to do what Chavez has done, and Zelaya wants done.

There is currently a resolution, H.J. res 5, to appeal the 22nd amendment. The 22nd amendment limits the terms of a United States President.

The fact that this resolution is still in committee is ridiculous!

H.J. Res 5 was introduced by none other than by Democrat Jose Serrano of New York.

And to think, we wondered why Obama sided with Zelaya, despite Zelaya's dictator-esque approach to running Honduras!

Pelosi and CIA Back at it Again

Once again, Nancy Pelosi and the CIA are exchanging words; but this time, Pelosi is trying to stay clear. After the last fiasco with waterboarding, Pelosi's approval ratings fell to just 31 percent, while disapproval ratings were at 47 percent.

On June 24th, the CIA released some classified papers and documents to the House and Senate Intelligence Committee about a post September 11th, secret CIA operation involving terrorism.

This operation had nothing to do about waterboarding or interrogations.

The Democrats are now quick to justify their earlier "unknown" waterboarding claims by saying that the CIA intentionally misleads them, or covers things up.

Really now?

This is an entirely different matter all together.

Pelosi WAS informed about the waterboarding techniques, and she knows it.

This information just released was kept out of the hands of congress because we all know that the Dems are looking for anything to raise hell about.

Grow up.

The $787 billion stimulus bill that was passed is now being used to make up budget deficits in states, according to a report released by the Government Accountability Office.

A majority of the money is being spent to resurface roads, rather then to build new infrastructure, schools and highways.

The lease the Democrats can do after throwing us $11 trillion in debt is to enforce their own standards. They wanted this money to be used to build, not re-do. The money was supposed to be to create new jobs by starting an entirely new industry around government projects.

Oh well...

Also, have you seen those signs that say something along the lines of "Paid for by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act"? Guess how much those are costing taxpayers...$1,200 each!

While Obama's approval ratings continue to fall, new reports show that just in the last 24 hours, his approval rating dropped an entire percentage point.

Since January 20th, when Obama took office, his approval ratings have dropped 12 points to 56 percent, while his disapproval ratings have climbed 24 points to 36 percent.

Here we go again. Congress trying to meddle in our everyday lives, when they have other issues to be worried about. Senator Orrin Hatch, a Republican from Utah, is upset that his Utes didn't get admitted to the 2008 BCS National Championship game. Get over it.

You, Senator Hatch, should be worried about more dire issues on hand, like our economy, jobless rates and national security. Not college football.

Congress will be wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars in having a Department of Justice investigation of "violation of anti-trust laws" with the BCS.

Too bad that isn't the case, and lawmakers know that.

Lawmakers are trying to gain appreciation points in their ever-lower approval ratings, too bad it won't work.

Tax Cuts vs. Gov't Spending: You Tell Me

As I hear more and more about how Bush's tax cuts put us into this financial and job market mess to begin with, let's take a look at some actual statistics. Obama and Pelosi want you to believe that this mess was Bush's fault. Stop playing the blame game and just admit that your plans are failing.

For much of the 90's, (a Democratic Presidency and Republican Congress) the job market and unemployment rate dropped. It continued to do so until September 11th, when, inevitably, unemployment increased. In 2003, George W. Bush signed his tax cut plan into law, and as you can tell, unemployment began to drop immediately. When the Democrats took control of congress in 2008, unemployment skyrocketed. Imagine that: more spending, higher taxes, higher unemployment.

Let's look at what Bush's tax cuts did to the economy. This shows a year-and-a-half before and a year-and-a-half after the 2003 tax cuts.

Interesting, higher GDP, higher investments, higher stock markets, and more jobs. Doesn't sound like anything bad to me.

Want more numbers? Just under 10 million jobs were created in the four years after Bush's Tax Cuts were signed into law.

What has Pelosi's Congress and Obama done with their spending spree? Increase our nation's debt exponentially and increased the jobless rate even more than what they predicted would happen if we didn't pass this stimulus plan. Way to go!

The Job losses are even more than they predicted. Leave it to Joe Biden to summarize it best..."We misread how bad the economy was..."

And these are the people we entrusted $787 Billion to!

Q: What job can you be wrong all the time, and not get fired?

A: Meteorologists and The Obama Administration.

And to be clear, the left's constant plea that under Clinton's presidency (sorry Monica, presidency, not desk) we actually had a surplus. That's just not true.

So as the Democrats continue to dig us deeper and deeper into the hole, there is no one else to blame but themselves. They have been in control of congress since 2008, and now, with comedian Al Franken sworn in, they have no excuses. It's your presidency and congress Democrats. Luckily mid-term elections are right around the corner.

A new Gallup Poll shows that Sarah Palin's coverage by the MSM (Main Stream Media) is unfair, and biased. Nearly 75% of Republicans and one-third of Democrats agree that the MSM is covering Palin in a negative light.

Obama's Bailouts Obviously Don't Work!

We keep falling deeper and deeper into our current recession (and soon to be depression) and all President Obama's plan entails is throwing more money at the problem, instead of addressing the issues.

Let businesses fail and stop deflating the U.S. Dollar.

We need to stop bailing out failing companies and banks, they failed for a reason. If we keep printing money, our dollar will be worth less than the paper it's printed on!
